	[GO TO OUR CAMPUS NEAR CANCUN] Fly into Cancun and travel to an amazing Mayan Indian city. SpringBreak / Summer…The Perfect Place! You will be staying at our mission base in the Yucatan. (1 hour west of Cozumel) Fly into Cancun, and then travel with your missionary hosts to the beautiful Mayan City of Tizimin. You will be lodging in authentic Mayan Thatch Huts in a very safe area. This Mayan city will make you feel like you have traveled back in time one hundred years. Your mission will be part of a team working with area Street Kids, Orphans, School Children, VBS in Mayan Indian Churches. Food: A wonderful team of local Mayan women will be preparing and serving all meals. A mix of very tasty Mexican and USA type foods will be served. DCI is well known for our great meals; there will be plenty to eat! You will have the option of taking a Giant Mayan Ruin Expedition Trip! Mayan Yucatan Location – Tizimin
The city of Tizimin is positioned in the center of the Yucatan. The population is 61,000 (150,000 with the surrounding villages).

Who are the Mayan People?
The Mayan people are a beautiful people who live in the Yucatan peninsula of southern Mexico. The people we have the privilege of touching are the people of Tizimin. The history of the Maya culture is rooted deep in mystic Mayan temple worship. Tizimin is one of the oldest cities in the Americas. In the 1500’s Spanish conquistadors forced them into slavery.

Currently, there is little interest in helping the urban poor. Being neglected and overlooked has left the people lost, bewildered and spiritually empty. By choosing to make the Mayan city your mission trip site, it will bring life to the people of this region of the world.
